I have an SD 1200 IS I retired with advent of smart phones. My granddaughter would like to use it for (I think) a college project. The camera works but I can't download photos to my computer. Can someone please tell me how I might get the software, since Canon no longer supports it? Thank you very much.

For the best chance of success, use a card reader. What specific computer do you have? It may already have an SD card reader built in to it (e.g. some Macs do).
If you don't have a built-in one, they are quite inexpensive. Though do choose a reputable brand such as SanDisk.
