Can I use the LP-E6 battery in the Canon 80D

Meaning that a the LP-E6N will work with older body models,

but will the older LP-E6 battery work with newer models?

Yes, you can.  Page 36 of the User Manual states "Load a fully-charged Battery Pack LP-E6N (or LP-E6) into the camera."

In general, the LP-E6 series batteries are both forwards and backwards compatible.
