Windows sees my Canon vixia hv40 and device manager but there are no drivers for it.

I have Windows 10 64-bit and in my device manager it shows my Canon vixia hv40 but it says there are no drivers installed. I cannot find them to use them to capture video from my tapes to my drive. Please advise. I want to redo this be cause an external with it all on there crashed  #windows10 #vixiahv40

Oh, I have IEE1394 b card and it added the driver.  I just need the last stable drivers from canon for that camera.

Everything that is publicly available is on the site. 

I don't see drivers for that camera. All I see is CameraWindow DC 8.10.4a for Windows

Generally, you don't need drivers on the PC side for firewire. But fewer and fewer applications are supporting FireWire camera import. Adobe has dropped support.

Installing unsigned drivers from a third party is not recommended. 

Again. This camera is retired and is no longer supported. I've closed this thread. We're beating a dead horse.
