Hello all,
This is my first post to the forum, and I hope you can help me out.
About ten years ago, I did a series of interviews for my PhD on my MV600i camcorder. I'm hoping to transfer these interviews onto my Macbook Pro laptop so I can back them up in Dropbox, and also edit them for future use. Can anyone please tell me:
*is it as simple as plugging in a MiniDV to USB cable into the laptop, or do I need to buy some other interface as well?
*if I do need another piece of hardware, could someone please briefly steer me in the right direction?
Thanks a lot for your help!
Regards,
Andrew Harrison

Greetings,
I used to have one of these back in the day. Great Camera! The answer to your question is yes. I do al of my workflow in Windows, but support Macs as well. iMovie supports import from tape based cameras.
Shouldn't be an issue if you have a FW port on your laptop.
Cheers!

Thanks a lot Rick! I'll get that cable and start transferring.
