My computer is running windows 7 Premium and it will not recognize my vixia HF R60.
It keeps asking for drivers.

Have you looked at the support page for the VIXIA HF R60? There are no specific drivers for Windows 7. However you may want to look under the Software tab as there is Camcorder Software listed (Camcorder Software 5.0 (Windows)).
You may also find something help of page 154 of the user manual.

Try this, camera on and plugged in with usb cable, then hit the play button, the one under the on/off button on the body of camera. On the main screen under battery level, your camera has to be setup on mp4 to down load mp4 movies and pictures using CameraWindow software or setup on Avchd to download avchd movies using the Transfer Utility LE software. It doesn't matter where the movies or pictures are saved, internal memory or sd card, just what format(mp4, Avchd) the camera is set to at time of downloading to computer.

Thank you. I just now encountered the same problem. Your recommendation solved the issue for me too.
