Vixia HF G50: Is the wifi chip soldered in place, or is it removable?

Not familiar with the internals of this device and would like to know before I buy - is the wi-fi module pluggable or is it soldered in? Thanks!

Re: Vixia HF G50: Is the wifi chip soldered in place, or is it removable?

Most people (probably everyone) hasn't taken their 1K G50 apart to see what components are soldered onto the PCB.

You should call Canon, I doubt someone here would know.

The HF-G50 doesn't have Wi-Fi capability. The HF-G40 was the last HF-GXX series model that did.
