R800 Auto power on

Hello,
I am planning to use a R800 camcorder to locally stream the video to a remote room / TV.

> Does the camera turns on automatically when powered ? I would like to install the cam at height (2-3m) and I won't be able to start it manually each time. Ideally, it should just turn on as soon as it is powered and output the feed to the HDMI.

There is a function inside the menu system where it says something along the lines of power on LCD. If you have it on yes, the camera will automatically turn on once you flip the screen. If no, you must power it on yourself. In regards to the second question, it does output the video from an HDMI out to an external monitor with or without recording.
