I bought a VIXIA HF R52 camcorder. How do I transfer a video I shot to Movie Maker?

Please answer in as much detail as you can. 🙂

Not having made Movie Maker ourselves, we do not have detailed instructions for importing video.  However, this is something Microsoft has on their website.  I found a page you may find helpful.  Click HERE to go there.

First , the format came from your camcorder is AVCHD (.MTS) I think, but movie maker doesnn't support this format. And most editors can't support this format either. 

So you can transfer your mts files into other format, windows movie maker supports mp4,wmv ,mov ,you can first convert your source videos into the supported format , then reload them into your movie maker.

I suggest you use free mts/m2ts converter  , it's free and easy to use.
