HF20 Turn off electronic beep

we'd like to use our Vixia HF20 to video wildlife but the incessant beeping that occurs when you perform functions on the camera makes it impossible.  anyone know how to turn off the beeping noise that happens such as when you turn on the camera?

Hi javaqen,

A beep will accompany some operations like turning on the camcorder, the self-timer countdown, etc.  Please follow these steps to turn off this sound:

1. Press the <FUNC> button.
2. Select [MENU] and press <SET>.
3. Select the [System Setup #2] tab.
4. Select [Notification Sounds].
5. Select [Off].
