G40 WVF and shutter speed

I am thinking of ordering a Canon G40 camcorder here in the UK and have downloaded the user manual first.

There was a Wave Form Monitor on the G25 and G30 ( I think ) but cannot find it in the G40 manual.

Has it been ommited in the G40 ?

Also I can see that the shutter speed can be fixed at 60fps on the G40 if required but not 50fps for here in the UK.

Is this correct ?

Many Thanks.

Hi ObzorBeach,

Thanks for posting.

It sounds like you're looking at the US version, or VIXIA HF G40. If you'll be using your camcorder in the UK, I recommend using the LEGRIA HF G40. For more information, please click here.

Re: G40 WVF and shutter speed

Thanks Richard,

You are quite correct, I have just checked the G40 manual that I downloaded and it is for the Vixia G40.

Glad that I didn't import one !

Now to look for the Legria manual ..........
