PowerShot G7 X Mark III -- Notice Regarding Erroneous Warning

Canon has identified a phenomenon with the PowerShot G7X Mark III where the camera may display an erroneous temperature warning soon after the start of movie recording. This phenomenon can be resolved by performing the following steps:

            1) Power on the camera and Re-enter (or set) the Date, Time & Time Zone.

            2) Turn off the camera and leave powered off for at least 90 minutes.

            3) After at least 90 minutes, power the camera on again.

After following this procedure, the erroneous warning should not recur.

If the warning recurs, please contact us at 1-800-OK-CANON.

Re: PowerShot G7 X Mark III -- Notice Regarding Erroneous Warning

I'm strongly considering buying this camera, but I'm worried about the focusing and overheating problems I heard about. (I thought that only Sony had these overheating issues...) To reply to your post: Got to say, I'm not impressed over this advise. If I neet to shoot a video right now, waiting 90 minutes or more isn't helpful...

Hi, when it will be fix ? I'm actually an underwater professional videographer and it happens every time when I record in 4k, the main reason why I buy this camera. I hope it will be fixed soon
