Hi Mike3!
Which product are you using? While that chart may not have been updated on our website, the software has been updated, and as far as we're aware, most things should be working fine.

I'm using a Powershot G7X II. The Camera Window app currently on the support page shows the same filename, size and version as it did last April 2017. I downloaded it anyway and tried again and it still does not work. There are 2 apps installed in the CameraWindow app folder; there is CameraWindow.app (dated Sep 27, 2016) and in the CameraWindow/CWUItility folder is CameraWindow DC 8.app (dated Feb 6, 2017).
The G7X successfully connects to my Wi-Fi, and 'sees' my Macbook which I select. The I start CameraWindow and get the error message 'No Camera Found'. I tried both versions of CameraWindow and each gives the same error.

I got my wife a G8X II for her birthday a few weeks ago. We use Macs in our household and sadly found out Canon Camera Window does not support Wifi with the latest OSX version. We get the same error message you get also. Having to remove the SD card is a poor fix. At the very least a cable should be included and Wifi should be removed from the feature list on Canon cameras. Fortunately the usb cable is a common one used by other devices and we had a cable that worked with the G8X.

Apple these days launched Mac OS X v10.12 Sierra. we've observed a few problems with the compatibility of Canon’s digicam Window DC, EOS utility and Map utility software packages with Mac OS X v10.12 Sierra which could cause sure functions of such Canon software program no longer to work.
earlier than upgrading your OS to Mac OS X 10.12 Sierra, please review the compatibility chart by using clicking here.
we will update our guide coverage Mid-October.
