      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have been a long time user of Canon's webcam utility and the recent Sequoia update broke the camera being able to connect with the software and it no longer shows up in the utility software or any of the web conferencing apps (Zoom, Teams, WebEx, etc.). &amp;nbsp;I know this is a known issue but the updated software 2.2.24 that was supposed to fix the issue has not resolved the problem.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have upgraded the Mac (MacBook Pro 16" M3) from webcam utility 2.2.22 to 2.2.24 and it is still showing the same behavior of not connecting. &amp;nbsp;I have done a complete uninstall of the utility, re-installed a fresh copy and have checked all the system settings to allow the extension and camera in MacOS. &amp;nbsp;I have also checked and swapped the USB cable with no change.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Looking around on the forums I see some users are having similar issues, any suggestions?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks for the reply, &amp;nbsp;here are more details about the system and behavior.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Mack 16" M3 Pro&lt;BR /&gt;MacOS 15.0.1 Sequoia&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Camera Canon 80D&lt;BR /&gt;Firmware 1.0.3&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The system does not show any error message when connecting the camera to the Mac. When using the Canon Webcam utility I simply get a black screen with the words "EOS Webcam Utility" and this is the same behavior when trying to use Zoom or Teams. The camera has power and all menus / functions seem to work fine.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have done a clean uninstall and reinstall of the webcam software (2.2.24) multiple times with no change. &amp;nbsp;I have rebooted the Mac and Camera as well with no change in behavior.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi mr_upgr8d, webcam_user, and crabrave,&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I'm sorry to hear you are also having issues with the EOS Webcam Utility recognizing your camera on mac OS15. One thing to check with your EOS 70D, EOS Rebel T6i, and EOS 80D&amp;nbsp; is to make sure the wifi is disabled on the camera. If the wifi is enabled on those three camera models it disables the USB port.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;To check that on mr_upgr8d's EOS 70D press the Menu button, go to the third yellow wrench tab, and make sure Wi-Fi is set to Disable. Once you've done that check to see if the same thing is happening.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;For webcam_user's EOS 80D press the Menu button, go to the first page under the yellow wrench tab, select Wireless Communication Settings, and make sure Wi-Fi/NFC is Disabled.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;For&amp;nbsp;crabrave's EOS Rebel T6i go to the first yellow wrench tab and make sure Wi-Fi/NFC is set to Disable.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Another thing to check would be to try using a different USB cable. Sometimes if the cable has degraded it can cause communication issues. If you need a new cable all three of your cameras use a Mini-B to Type-A USB cable. That is a standardized cable type that should be available in most electronics stores and online electronic retailers.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If the issue continues after checking those things then the next thing to double check would be to see if your camera is being recognized by other software. If you have our import software EOS Utility installed is the camera recognized there? A different piece of software to check would be the import software built into the mac operating system. That is called Image Capture. Either of those pieces of software should be able to detect the cameras once the USB is connected.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;At least we know that if the camera is detected by Image Capture that the camera, cable, and USB port look to be working correctly, and I see from your previous follow-up post you've used the settings we would recommend.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Another thing to double check is if your computer is the 16" laptop version is the computer plugged into a power outlet? Sometimes if a laptop isn't plugged into a power outlet it can limit the power supplied to the ports causing communication issues. Different pieces of software can have different power needs, so it can happen where there is enough power for something like Image Capture but not for the EOS Webcam Utility.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;We haven't heard any reports about Legacy Device issues with OS15 yet, but there was a setting in OS14 that would need to be enabled to allow full communication. It may be good to double check if there are OS15 settings related to Legacy Devices. On OS14 we would direct people to this article &lt;A href="https://support.apple.com/en-us/108387" target="_self"&gt;HERE&lt;/A&gt; to check that setting, but I don't see an article like that for OS15.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I upgraded to 2.3.15 and the problem remains the same. &amp;nbsp;I also ran the uninstall utility and then did a fresh install but unfortunately still no change.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
