Do you have any idea when I can expect support for G9 X as webcam by EOS Utility ?

Or maybe there is any other way how to handle it till new version will come?

Does your camera support remote shooting from a computer? Not from a smart device, but from a computer? If so, then it is likely that your camera just might work. This has been the case with the DSLRs. No idea if this is true for PowerShots.

Download the driver for a supported PowerShot camera. Try it and see. If your camera supports remote control shooting from a computer, then it is likely that it might work. What do you have to lose?
