Greetings,

Some of us use the ProGrade dual slot card reader. PG5.05. It offers CFE type B and UHS-II support, and is backwards compatible. Angelbird makes a nice model too. They are about $80 bucks but you can sometimes find them on sale.

Internal CF Express card reader?

Is anyone aware if there are "internal" CFE card readers available to fit into desktop PCs (i.e. on a 3.5 or 5.25in panel); preferably with a SATA connection?

There is only one internal reader (Startech) that even has SC UHS-ii, & that uses a USB3.1 internal connector, & is not as fast (<200MBps) as the internal bus integrated reader on my Dell XPS (~250MBps).

Otherwise what external CFE readers have been found to work well?

Thanks!

I use the ProGrade reader that Rick mentioned. It can magnetically attach to the side of the computer housing.

I think you are about 10 years too late to look for a bay-fitting reader.

Hopefully not, internal bus connections are still much faster than USB.
