Hi there dropped my flash on to concrete, nasty, there was a load pop now red pilot light wont come on.. obviously damged but to what degree?\

Any ideas

There is no way someone can assess the extend of damage to a product which was dropped on a support forum.

Send the unit to Canon for evaluation

You'll have to decide if the cost of repair does not exceed the cost to replace.

Right now however, you could get a replacement (black friday or cyber monday) for a very good price.

As already stated the only option is to get it repaired professionally, do not be tempted to dismantle it yourself, although it runs on low voltage batteries it can store up to 300volts inside even when turned off and that can cause you serious damage.
