So my Speedlite 600ex-rt turns on, changes modes and functions, communicates with the camera when on the hot shoe but will not fire when shutter is clicked nor will it fire when trying to test (pressing red light). Does this mean the bulb blew? The flash tube blew? Do anyone have any answers?

It's a few years later, but my 600EXii-RT is experiencing the exact same problem you had. I was wondering if you resolved the issue, and if you didn't, did you send the flash unit to Canon for repair, and if you did, what did it cost. Thanks!
