a1714,

I understand your Speedlite 600EX RT- II gives off a sporadic afterglow. It's possible you are seeing something powering down inside the unit or it may be a trick of the light when coupled with the ambient light in the room. If the flash behaves otherwise normally, I wouldn't consider this to be a service issue but if it gets hot or doesn't expose properly because of it, then I would recommend setting up service on the Canon web site.

usa.canon.com/repair

My Speedlite 600EXll RT is giving me a sporadic after glow after a flash exposure has been taken. It does not happen all the time. Flash is set for ETTL and is only 2 1/2 months old. It is like, the flash goes off, that exposure is perfect and then a after glow appears for about 1/2 second. It is like someone turned a low power lightblub on then off.

Any Ideas???

Thanks,

Steve
