The only thing the camera can tell it to do is fire. You’ll have to use Manual Mode and manually adjust the flash power. The flash doesn’t communicate with the flash for Auto flash exposure. So if the camera is set to Auto Mode it won’t fire at all. Or if it’s set to Live View it won’t fire either. Silent LV shooting needs to be&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;DISABLED&amp;nbsp;&lt;/STRONG&gt;for the flash to fire. If you’re just starting out I would recommend starting out with a Canon brand&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;EX&amp;nbsp;&lt;/STRONG&gt;series speedlite.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
