Canon 60D wont sync to Strobes

I have a canoh 60D and use 430ex ii
Its has been a few years since i had my studio up and can not get my stobes to fire in sync with my camera. They fire too late. I tries lower my shutter speed but doesnt seen to help.
I remember this happened in my class and my professor told me to change 1 setting on my camera and it fixed the issue! Of course that was 5 years ago and can't remember. Can anyone help me sync my strobes to fire correctly

How are you syncing the strobes?

If it is an optical trigger you have to turn off ETTL-2 (use manual flash) so the pre-triggers don't fool the strobes.

Thank u. I did figure it out. Simply changing to manual for external flash setting in the camera.
