topic Updated EL-5 and ST-E10 Firmware to Version 1.2.0 So far so good… in Speedlite Flashes

Hi Everyone!

First Community post…

Just updated my three EL-5 Flashes and the ST-E10 Radio Transmitter to Firmware Version 1.2.0 (10/15/2025) and so far, the radio link has maintained connection past 36 minutes(and counting…). In the past, the flashes would drop radio connection within 2-5 minutes.

I’m holding off proclaiming “hallelujah” for now, but I’m cautiously optimistic that Canon is at least on the right track of hopefully getting the radio signal problem in their flash ecosystem remedied.

Hope to hear from other users to see how they have fared after updating the firmware in their flashes/transmitters…
