Hi

Is it possible to fire a Canon 430EX II Speedlite remotely with an EOS R7? I have done it with my old 7D and am wondering if it is possible with the R7?

Hello John_Paterson.

In order to fire a flash remotely using the EOS R7, you would need to have either a transmitter or a Speedlite flash unit on the hotshoe of the camera. That feature on the EOS 7D and EOS 7D Mark II aren't available on most current day cameras anymore, where you could use the built-in flash like a transmitter to release an external unit.
