Any flash that ends in “EX” will be compatible. 380EX, 420EX, 430EX, 430EX II, 430EX III, 580EX, 580EX II, etc.

Newer flash units like the 430EX II, 430EX III, and 580EX II will also be compatible with your camera’s in-camera flash menu.

All EX and EL speedlites are compatible with your camera. Note speedlites released prior to the 430EX II and 580EX II (before 2008). Are NOT compatible with the speedlite control menu which has been a feature in all EOS cameras since 2007. Also note older speedlites such as the 420EX don't factor in sensor size. Newer speedlites factor this in which prevents over and underexposure.

-Demetrius

40D, 5D IV, EF 16-35mm F/2.8L III, EF 24-70mm F/2.8L II, EF 28-135mm F/3.5-5.6 IS USM, EF 50 F/1.8 STM

430EX III-RT & 600EX II-RT
