EL-1 on R5 ETTL MAL FUNCTION

Hello, i have a problem, i hace an R5 and a EL-1 and always use the ETTL II but yesterday i didnt use the camera and the flash and today the flash shoot the flash w the trigger and comunicate fine w the camera and on all the other modes shoot normal but only on ETTL didnt se the flash and i have a wedding i need help!

Are you sure the flash indicated ETTL II? According to the manual it only displays ETTL.

When any Canon E-TTL speedlite is mounted on a camera that supports E-TTL II. The speedlite will always display E-TTL. Even If the camera supports E-TTL II. Also E-TTL II is implemented in the camera body not the speedlite. Making all Canon EX and EL speedlites compatible regardless of the age.

Yeah everything is on order look and the shooter is on mechanical because w is on electronic didnt pop the flash. look

Is the speedlite not always firing when its supposed too. Note flash photography is NOT compatible with the electronic shutter only mechanical. Are other functions of the speedlite working. Does the speedlite fire an AF Assist Beam if the camera can't lock focus in low light.
