topic Can I see for how long a flash has been switched on? in Speedlite Flashes

When I have taken an image using a flash, is there any way to see from e.g. the EXIF data for how long the flash has been 'switched on'? My camera is 7D and the flash is Canon Speedlite 580EXII. I have photographed a lizard (a gecko) at night. Obviously it was shocked due to the flash. During the very short period of time the flash was switched, the gecko defecated on the wall which is clearly seen on the image. It demonstratesw the extremely quick reaction of the gecko. If I know for how long the flash was switched on, I will know how quickly it can react. My image is RAW plus a small JPEG version.
I have attached the mentioned image. I am certain that the feces was not on the wall before I took the photo. Especially the right front leg is blurred due to the gecko's quick reaction.

Regards,
Henrik Bringsøe
(Denmark)

No, but it might show flash power as a fraction (1/1, 1/2, ...) and correlate it.
