Hi Photos by MJ,

A good recommendation for an off camera flash for your EOS Rebel T3 would be the Speedlite 430EX II. Some of it's great features are:

- Superior build quality, including a one-touch, quick-lock metal foot

- Approx. 20% faster recycling time, compared to previous 430EX

- Powerful Max Guide no. 43m (GN 141ft.)

- Full flash control possible on camera menu, with compatible EOS DSLRs

You can view this flash, as well as other Canon EX Speedlites, through our Canon Shop Direct web page. The address, for your convenience, is www.shop.usa.canon.com.

If you have recommendations for a off-camera flash for my Canon Rebel T3. Canon flash would be nice however if someone has good experiences with off brand flashes I'd consider those as well. Please advise.

For a speedlight I would recommend the Canon 580EX II or Metz 58 AF-2 for the extra power. But if you are looking into doing outdoor portraits only, I would recommend looking into a monolight system, what's your budget?
