Windows sees the scanner. The CaptureOnTouch program does not. Found the exe but still says no scanner found even after the registration, the other name for Restoration in the documentation which is of course wrong.

Windows found the scanner after running the repair fix. I can run the Windows scan program but rather use the Canon Capture on touch. It was showing up when boot but not anymore. So frustrating, never had this much trouble installing a device. Windows 10.

Assuming that you are in the US I suggest that you go to the support page at https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/imageformula-p-208ii-personal-document-scanner. and ensure that your Driver, OnTouchLite and OnTouch software are the most current versions. Currently there is a 6/9/2026 driver, and a 3/2026 OnTouch version. If updating the driver and reinstalling and/or updating OnTouch doesn't work you may need to do a clean uninstall and reinstall of the software.

First, though, you should make sure all of your software and drivers are the latest versions from Canon.
