Hi there, we have a user with a DR-C225 II scanner and CaptureOnTouch v5. Whenever he scans to CaptureOnTouch, he gets the "ISIS Driver Error: [80FD13A6]" popup. There isn't much documentation about it but I have tried reinstalling driver software, going down a version, and reinstalling CaptureOnTouch. He just the scanner so there's no normal baseline for him right now, though no one else in our office is having this issue right now.

Hi Hammerblaze! Thanks for contributing to the Canon Community. I understand that when someone tries to use the CaptureOnTouch program for your imageFORMULA DR-C225 II, he or she is getting an error (ISIS Driver Error: [80FD13A6]).

You mentioned that you have already tried reinstalling the driver and software. Since you continue to get an error (on what I assume is a computer running Windows), please go back to our website and download the Windows Registry Tool (file called DR_RegistryFix.exe). This program will check if there are any issues with accessing the ISIS/TWAIN Driver installed on your computer.

Here is a link to that website:
https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/imageformula-dr-c225-ii-office-document-scanner

When the page opens, please click on the Drivers & Software symbol to the right of the picture of the scanner. Then, make sure that the operating system and version under the Downloads section is correct. Below that, you will see a list of the software available for the scanner.

The tool will be the last of 22 download options on that page, so you will need to scroll down and click on the “Load More” button two times to find it. Then, click on the Download button to the right of that file to start the download process.

Once the file finishes downloading, please follow the instructions in the following web article:
https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/s/article/ART181189

When you are done with step 3, please restart the computer as instructed by step 4. This step is important. Please do this regardless of whether the tool finds any issues. When the computer finishes turning on, please try using CaptureOnTouch again.

If the Windows Registry Tool does not find any issues (or if the problem persists), I recommend that you call in so we can help you in real-time. You may call our toll-free number 1-800-423-2366, Monday - Friday 9:00 A.M. - 5:30 P.M. ET (excluding holidays).

Here are a few more things you can check before you call in:

Make sure that the USB cable is no longer than 6 feet (maximum length).

Make sure that the scanner is connected directly to a USB port on your computer. We do not recommend using adapters or an external USB hub.

If you are using the scanner with a desktop computer, make sure the USB cable is connected to a USB port on the back of the computer (not the front).

If your computer has multiple USB ports, please try a different port.

If you have security software installed on your computer, make sure that it is not interfering with the CaptureOnTouch program. You may need to create an exception. If you do not know how, please contact the security software developer.

If you do reply to this post, please let us know what Operating System and Version your computer is running. Also, please tell us if there is any difference between the computer that is experiencing the error and the other computers that are not.

I hope this information is helpful to you. Thanks again.
