      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I have this new scanner and it appears to work well. I am scanning an Item that is smaller that 8.5 x 11.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;When I scan it it wants to fill the full page. How do I set the scanner to scan and produce the same size image as the original?&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;SEBASSMAN,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Please try using the scangear interface to scan your item.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;To do this, please follow these steps:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;1.&amp;nbsp; On your computer, please press the Windows key on your keyboard and the letter R, then let both go.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;2.&amp;nbsp; In the Run window that appears, please type SCANUTILITY.exe and click OK.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;3.&amp;nbsp; In the IJ Scan Utility window, click the ScanGear button.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;4.&amp;nbsp; In the ScanGear window, click the Advanced Mode tab in the upper right hand side.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;5.&amp;nbsp; If Thumbnail mode is enabled, please click this button to disable it.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;span class="lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline" image-alt="ijsu.jpg" style="width: 400px;"&gt;&lt;img src="https://community.usa.canon.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/75584i2890A5CB62D344C5/image-size/large?v=v2&amp;amp;px=999" role="button" title="ijsu.jpg" alt="ijsu.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;7.&amp;nbsp; Once the previewed image appears, adjust the dashed cropping lines to the area that you wish to be scanned.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;8.&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;Click the Scan button to scan your selected image.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
