&lt;P&gt;Run the installer first and don't connect the scanner until prompted to do so.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>Canon Canoscan LiDE 400 software taking long time to install</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Installing the software from the CD, as nothing happened when the scanner was plugged in to the desktop via the included cable.&amp;nbsp; Running an HP desktop that's less than 2 years old, IntelCore i7-14700F with 16GB ram.&amp;nbsp; Windows 11 Home, and is up to date.&amp;nbsp; No other updates (including Windows) are running.&amp;nbsp; Install is stuck on 'Scanner detected' and showing step 3.&amp;nbsp; Any hints on how to get the software properly installed?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Mark&lt;/P&gt;</description>
