    <description>&lt;P&gt;I have had the&amp;nbsp;exact same problem. &amp;nbsp;I called Canon help, and the technical support person tried hard to help me to no avail. &amp;nbsp;I suspect something in the OS is glitching with the LIde400 software.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Canon LiDE 400 and macOS Sequoia 15.5&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Hello, I recently purchased this scanner brand new and though my MacBook Pro detects it, I can't scan anything. I have tried using other platforms like VueScan but then I keep receiving a warning sign to "Make sure the locking (transport) switch is in the unlocked position" although it is unlocked...&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I have tried registering my device for warranty, but after inputting the serial number it says:&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;The serial number you have entered is invalid for one or more of the following reasons:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;1) The serial number does not match the product you have selected (FCC ID which starts with “AZD” is often mistaken for serial number.)&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;2) The serial number entered indicates this product was not intended for sale in the United States and is ineligible for registration and support in the U.S.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I do not know how I am supposed to be able to use my scanner.... Help would be greatly appreciated.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
