my old cancan 9000 worked perfectly on my old computer. It is no longer supported by Canon. Is there any way I can download an old driver for this scanner for my new Mac computer?

They have re-engineering drivers and allow older scanners to work with new OSs.

I have a Minolta film scanner that was last supported by Windows XP by Minolta but are using successfully now with W10 via VueScan.

I don’t have the device. I was just telling the OP what to try.
Just keep working down the list when you select the OS version till you find the driver to download. But, as I said, it may not function with the OS version you have.
