I just bought a used DR-3010C document scanner. Are there WIA drivers available for this scanner?

Also, wouldn't it be a good idea for there to be a "Scanners" section in this Community?

I have the same question as Richard. My scanner is "like" brand new I would like a Canon representative to respond to all the questions regarding driver support for Windows 11 Sanners. I want to know why they are not supported on Windows 11 and if they plan to support the older models going forward. It is a waste to throw away a good scanner! HP can do it why can't you? Sorry just a little upset! Is there a universal driver we can install?

Hi,

The DR-3010C scanner does not come with a WIA driver. The driver that originally came with the scanner is both ISIS and TWAIN compliant. The driver that is currently available on our website is also ISIS and TWAIN compliant. Canon will not be making a WIA Driver for this particular model.

I recommend using either the new CaptureOnTouch program that is on our website or the CapturePerfect program that was originally available with this scanner. You will need the updated ISIS/TWAIN Driver from HERE.

Hi,

The DR-3010C was retired in 2019 and Canon will no longer be updating any drivers for this model.

As a work around you can try using the drivers and software for Windows 10. Please click HERE to open the support page for this model scanner.

You can also try using the VueScan software that the Hamrick Corporation offers. They do have a free version that you can try out. If you do want to visit their website, the address is www.hamrick.com. If you need support for this software, you can visit www.hamrick.com/support/.
