&lt;P&gt;To set up GMX SMTP settings, you can use the following information:&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Server address:&amp;nbsp;smtp.gmx.com or mail.gmx.com&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;Username:&amp;nbsp;Your GMX email address&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;Password:&amp;nbsp;Your GMX password&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;Port number:&amp;nbsp;25 for no TLS/SSL, 465 for SSL, or 587 for TLS&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;Authentication:&amp;nbsp;Required&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The scanner does not support modern authentication. You'll need to identify the correct SMTP settings for your preferred mail provider. This includes enabling POP or IMAP on the mailbox. Confirming the provider allows SMTP relay and /or using an app password if applicable.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Unfortunately, I have not yet managed to send a scan to my email provider GMX.de.&lt;BR /&gt;I had originally set my settings as follows:&lt;BR /&gt;Server: mail.gmx.net&lt;BR /&gt;Port: 587&lt;BR /&gt;Encryption: STARTTLS&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;span class="lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline" image-alt="UserChristian_1-1728836194059.jpeg" style="width: 400px;"&gt;&lt;img src="https://community.usa.canon.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/59604i5644B9660E8BCB07/image-size/medium?v=v2&amp;amp;px=400" role="button" title="UserChristian_1-1728836194059.jpeg" alt="UserChristian_1-1728836194059.jpeg" /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The connection test could not be performed directly but only after a previous login and logout process.&lt;BR /&gt;However, it is not possible to send an email.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Dear all,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm discovering ScanFront 400 limitations since my provider OVH has recently removed TLS 1.0 and 1.1 and asked applications to be configured to use TLS 1.2&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I receive mainly 'error 2' (authentification error) or others (1, 99...) if I try other ports than 587&lt;BR /&gt;Firmware seems to be the most recent : 5.8.2412.2502&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;As Canon France says that TLS 1.2 is supported by the device, I think that the problem comes from certificate, but where could we found an update ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Perhaps have you found any solution since this not so old conversation ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thank you for your help,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Best regards from Paris,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Laurent&lt;/P&gt;</description>
