topic CanoScan LiDE 400 Error when scanning at 4,800dpi in Scanners

I have the "Driver" configuration set to 600dpi and TIFF output. When I begin a scan and change the dpi in the Overview dialog to 4,800dpi, it seems to complete the scan but then presents an error that the scan failed because it was not set to a valid output (either jpg or tif). But of course, it WAS set to "tif" output. This seems to be a bug.

Here is the Settings panel for Driver

I began the scan and changed the dpi in the Overview dialog to 4,800dpi...

When the scan finished and I closed the Overview dialog, I encountered the following error...

Greetings,

Forgive me as i don't have a scanner to test this with.

You have the application set to open in Finder

What happens if you use Image Capture instead.

I changed it from open in Finder to open in Photoshop. Tried it first with a very small scan and it worked fine. But when I tried to scan a 5x7 color photograph at 4,800dpi it produced the same error. So it seems pretty obvious the Canoscan app is not handling large files well.
