    <description>&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I just bought the&amp;nbsp;CanoScan LiDE 400, I installed the Ij Scan Utility software on my device running on windows 10 (I made sure I installed the right version) but every time I try to use the scanner I get the error&amp;nbsp;Code 2,156,33.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The device is connected properly and the lock switch has been switched to the unlocked position.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When not in use the scanning element&lt;SPAN&gt; Is on the hinge side, not the side with the buttons. When the warming up process is done, it automatically returns to this position.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;what can i do to fix this error?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Since it returns to the hinge side each time the scanner would require service. Since the printer is in warranty,&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;I recommend reaching out to Canon support for your warranty options.
