ImageFormula R30 randomly flips pages upside down

My scanner, an ImageFormula R30, will randomly flip some pages upside down when I am scanning. I haven't seen any pattern to which pages it happens to, and if I scan the same group pf pages several times it will flip different pages each time. I have verified that I have the latest software, so I have no idea why this is happening! Can anyone help?

Hi Danny, I'm using the scanner with my desktop PC running Windows 10. The docs I'm scanning are mostly invoices, and all the pages in a batch are the same size and paper texture, if that matters.
