    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Please disconnect the USB cable from your scanner and then toggle the lock switch back and forth a few times, leaving it in the unlocked position.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Please open the cover and make sure that the scanning element is on the side with the buttons, not the hinge side.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Reconnect the USB cable an attempt to scan.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If the issue persists,&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;I recommend reaching out to Canon support for your warranty options.
