CanoScan LiDE 400 How does the File Naming work?

I set up Photo scan to save the images into a folder with the date. Earlier today I scanned a few pictures and moved them to a different folder. Later, in the same day, I scanned a few more. Now when I trye to move them to the second folder, windows says that some of the names are duplicates.

I seems that the software restarted the numbering at IMG_0001.

The file number should be incremented for the entire day, otherwise it is useless.
