Would you buy a PIXMA PRO 100 with a clogged print head that's been sitting for 6 months for $45 ?
How difficult or successful is it to get these print heads unclogged?
Printing noob here. Excited to learn.

You should assume you won't get the head unclogged, factor in the cost of a new head and balance that against what you purchase a different one for.

It looks like the great rebate deals are not currently available, so I think its a good deal even with having to purchase a new printhead.

What are the go-to places for parts for printers? I've done a few searches on Google but I know there's always those good reputable dealers for niche things like that.

They're expensive, I'm afraid. $320 at Amazon for a genuine Canon print head for the Pixma Pro-100, and that reflects a recent drop in price of $34.
