My Pixma Pro 9000 is acting weirdly. The last 10% of the photo is always printing offset colors. Tried different drivers, replaced ink cartridges, multiple head cleanups. tried to print from different files/softwares. Always the same problem.

Hi Elwayno.

If you haven't yet done so, try enabling the "Prevent Paper Abrasion" setting. This will be found in the Printing Preferences on Windows; for Mac OS, refer to this guide.

If the problem persists, please provide another example of the problem from closer to the issue, so we can get a better idea of how the problem is occurring.

If this answered your question, please click the Accept as Solution button, so others might find the answer.

tried to check and uncheck this function and it's doing the same. I also tried to check the "180 rotation" option and the same portion if the image is altered: the bottom of the image. So it's the bottom of the image whatever orientation it comes out. With 180 degree rotation enabled, the bottom of the picture comes out first but still altered. That result tells me it's a driver issue.

I built a Windows 7 machine and tried to print from it with brand new drivers downloaded from Canon for Win7: same issue.

Found something that might give you guys more info.

When I print with "High resolution paper" instead of photo paper, it's not as worst.

https://photos.app.goo.gl/ubyxuiyD43WHmRb1A

And when I select "plain paper", it's way better but still can see bands at the bottom part of the image.

https://photos.app.goo.gl/wX77iKViiEZ5tXYQ6

At this point you don't know what or where the problem is. Neither do I. I suggest a complete redo. Delete everything and reinstall your software and drivers. Make sure you REALLY delete everything as sometimes Windows leaves trash behind when uninstalling.

Remember most of the time photo gear does or prints exactly what we tell it to.
