Canon Pixma Pro10 will not load any paper in the manual feeder

I have just purchased a Cano Pixma Pro io . Have spent the last 48 hours trying to load A4 fine art 225 g inkjet paper among others. It absolutely refuses to accept any paper. Don't want to force it as this is anew printer anf its going back if I can't sort this problem. Can anyone help!

Did you make very sure you removed all the orange shipping parts?

Yes I remove all the orange shipping bits . Beginning to wonder now if I should have kept them inorder to return printer before warranty runs out.

Can you print from the rear tray? What program are you trying to print from. Are you pressing the button when the orange light flashes.

Its a new day here in County Kerry Ireland and I would like to thank the guys who answered my query.

It was a case of misreadding the terminology . I was selecting the rear tray and not the manual feeder.

Complete stupidity on my part.

I've printed my first fine art print and hope it will be the first of many.
