I found the answer,

The film was slightly to far to the right of the acceptable feed margin which was confusing because it says make sure the roll is tight against the roll mount. I just pulled the roll off the mount a little and it worked fine. It would be a big help if canons documentation went a little more into detail about possible reasons for the paper skew error.

Hello,

I am having a problem trying to load my printer with a roll of trasparant film and would appreciate any help or suggestions.

When I put the film in it accepts it and pulls it through, asks me to select a paper type then rolls itself back untill the film comes out and gives the error msg paper askew.

The printer is only a few months old. I loaded the printer with the same film when we bought it and I remember it taking a while to accept it the first time. Ive tried at least 15 times and changed the paper option several times including CAD Trace paper, Hi Resilution, Gloss Paper, Cad Matt Paper among others.

I have also changed the paper askew settings to loose with no success.

I can't think of anything else to try.

Regards

Jason
