topic Canon pro 10 inks the same as pro 1000 and or pro 1 in Professional Photo Printers

Is it possible to use Canon pro 1000 or Canon or 1 inks in refilling a second set of Canon Pro 10 cartridges for swaping out full set when changing cartridges? It reduces the ink purge cycle quite a lot if done that way; however, I don't know if the inks are compatible/ same. Thanks-

Hi Will55,

It is not recommend using ink from another PRO model printer to refill the ink cartridges of a PRO-10. The ink is specific for each model.

To refill the cartridge, you would have to drill a hole into it. That would compromise the integrity of the cartridge. There is no way to know if drilling the hole will introduce dust or other particles into the interior of the cartridge. For that reason, we do not recommend that you refill any of our cartridges.

Did this answer your question?
