I recently had an error message that the Canon rep thought was a print head issue. Since the print head was under warrenty they sent a new one. When this did not resolve the problem we finially tracked it down to a cable issue. Fortunately I was not out of money for the new print head, but wondering if the one I took out can be put aside and used in the future when needed.

I've put the safety cover on and sealed in back into the pouch in hopes of preserving it if possible.

Hi Drigphoto.

It is recommended that you keep the package sealed, and to store the print head in a cool, dry location. Please make sure that the metal contacts do not face down, as this may cause issues with print quality in the future.

If you have any further questions, please call us at 1-800-OK-CANON (652-2666), Monday - Friday 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. ET (excluding holidays).
