Try a head cleaning or a deep cleaning from the Canon printer driver.

Hello,

I have noticed that my printer is printing lines while printing. I have done a nozzle check and printed a test page and it seems that the photo cyan ink is the culprit as the test page had the same lines on that colour section.

Do I just need to clean the print head manually? I saw a video where you can use de-ionized water and a syringe. Has anyone tried this method? Maybe there is a better way to fix it?

Thank you for any help!

I have done that too with no success. I have also tried to realign the print head through the printer program and that didn't help either. It only seems to be the Photo Cyan having this issue.

I don’t think Canon recommends the head cleaning methods from the Internet, but the folks who pist them claim they work.

If deep cleaning hasn’t worked you probably have nothing to lose by trying.
