Hi All,

My XPS driver for the Canon PRO-1000 keeps forgetting custom media types. The media types are still in the printer, but I need to keep updating the XPS driver via the "update media information" command in the Maintenance tab. This seems to be happening every week or so.

In addition, for a new media type to show up I do have to delete the printer, reinstall it, and then update the media information.

Is anyone else here seeing similar behavior?

I'd greatly appreciate any suggestions how I could further investigate/solve this issue.

I already was in touch with Canon support on this, but they were not very helpful. They suggested testing this on another computer, but I have only this one. After I told them that, they said there is nothing they can do to help ...

Regards, Robert

PS: I am on Windows 7 64 Bit.
