Hello,

I have been experimenting and reading through this forum about proper margin settings and borders. I understand that the size of the border is based on personal preference as well as the ratio/size of the image. Is there a formula or a set of guidelines that can be used to determine margin settings based on a chosen border size? I am about to print 13x19 and would like to take the guesswork out of setting margins in Lightroom or Photoshop.

Thanks.

Here is an approach a noted fine art printer uses.

https://www.martinbaileyphotography.com/print-border-size-calculation-spreadsheet/

That will be a great way to start, I had forgotten about Martin's blog. Thank you.

Also, in my wanderings in this forum your posts pop up a lot. Thanks for the time you put in helping others like me get started with printing.
