How many lines are purged after just one Pro-10s cartridge is replaced?

If I replace a cartridge on my Canon Pixma Pro-100s does the printer purge just the line of that cartridge, or does it purge all ten lines?

My question relates to whether it is best to replace as many near empty cartridges at the same time?

All are purged. Replace as many as you can justify at the same time.
