      <description>&lt;P&gt;Contacted support as requested.&amp;nbsp; Abbreviated reply below:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;U&gt;As for your question regarding print resolution, the higher the &lt;STRONG&gt;Print Quality&lt;/STRONG&gt; level, the higher the &lt;STRONG&gt;resolution&lt;/STRONG&gt;. For example, if you custom set your print quality&amp;nbsp;to level&amp;nbsp;"1," the resolution will be at its highest. As you lower the print quality levels, the resolution will be lowered as well. Please see below for the Print Resolution information for the PIXMA Pro-100:&lt;/U&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;U&gt;Print Resolution&amp;nbsp;&lt;/U&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;U&gt;Color: Up to 4800 x 2400 dpi&lt;/U&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;U&gt;Black: Up to 4800 x 2400 dpi&lt;/U&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;P&gt;The PPI capabilities of Canon printers&amp;nbsp;seems to&amp;nbsp;be a closely guarded secret.&amp;nbsp; I searched the Internet and found people who thought that the Pro-100 printed at 600 PPI, some thought it was 300 PPI, some thought it was 300/600 (although they did not know what settings to use to achieve those numbers).&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The Pro-100 produces good prints, nothing more.&amp;nbsp; In order to produce&amp;nbsp;ecellent prints,&amp;nbsp;a person needs to&amp;nbsp;know, at a minimum, how the printer process information that is sent to it.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
